In the city it would rain quite often, and then snow. We looked for a place to get warm, to read, to drink, to eat.
This morning was a nervous one. I acted rather funny in a group of people. There were many people around. I didn't quite know how to carry myself, tripping and spilling and saying odd things at odd times. Thank God it's through.
We found a place, and we sat in the warmth, waiting for food and speaking low. The place had distinct sounds, like that of any cafe -- clinks and clanks, mumbles, laughs, low humming music, running water, dishes, steam, and espresso songs from the machine.
It felt right today, though it was a nervous day. I felt like somebody again. I felt like a human being, with breath and beauty and bones. I could blink and with my eyes, see the place I was in.
It's very simple but strikes a very specific mood note.
